Easy to use

Having an intuitive interface, it's super easy to locate what you want to do. But don't be fooled by its apparently simple user interface as you can do quite advanced things too.

Batch download from clipboard or files

If you have a list of links/urls in a file or you just copied some onto your clipboard and you're looking to download them in a batch, WFDownloader App is great for the job!

Batch download sequential files

WFDownloader App makes it easy to generate sequential files/urls that can be downloaded as a batch. For example, generating links https://abc.com/image001.png, https://abc.com/image002.png up to https://abc.com/image100.png. It's quite powerful and supports not just numberings, but also alphabetic ranges, repeated ranges, skips/steps, ordering, custom lists, and so on, in order to enable you generate urls with complex patterns.

Proxy support

If your internet network isn't direct and has to go through some proxies, WFDownloader App will happily follow them!

Download many files simultaneously

WFDownloader App allows you to download up to 20 files simultaneously. Be careful though so as not to get blocked by the site you're downloading from.

Save download progress and resume later

If you need to temporarily stop your downloads and resume later, it's possible. You don't have to restart the downloads again from the beginning.

Strong resume support

Many download links expire after some time so resuming such downloads can be a pain. However, WFDownloader App is able to refresh such links and seamlessly continue their downloads sparing you of extra work.

Batch download media from supported sites

For supported sites, WFDownloader App is able to download image galleries, wallpapers, videos, documents, audio files, etc. You just put the link to the gallery and it will pull exactly what you want from those links.

Also batch download from unsupported sites

For unsupported sites, WFDownloader App is still able to help you download what you want. You can configure it to download hyperlinks, images, videos, or configure a crawler to get the specific types of files that you want.

Download from password protected sites

WFDownloader App comes with a builtin browser to enable you log into your site and download the content you want. It also gives you the option to import cookies from your browser so that the app can run with the same session without you having to login again via the app itself.

Download images directly from search engines

WFDownloader App is able to pull images in their original resolutions from search engines such as Google, Bing and Yandex. You just copy the link/URL of your image search page and paste into the application and then it finds all the images for you! No need to follow those images into their respective sites.

Download en masse from social media sites

WFDownloader App is able to download images and videos en masse from a number of popular social media platforms such as Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, Mastodon, Bluesky, Reddit, Lemmy, Tumblr, Vk.com, YouTube, TikTok, and a few others. If your favourite platform isn't supported yet, you could make a request.

Download files from Open Directories

Open Directories (which are like public folders) can sometimes have very large directory/folder structures making them difficult to download from. WFDownloader App allows you to easily navigate these nested folder structures and download just the files you want.

Special support for forum threads media download

Easily download forum media such as images, videos, documents, and so on from your favourite forum threads. It's highly customizable and can even pull embedded media from known file hosts like imgur, flickr, imagebam, etc.

Builtin crawler for advanced link search

Use the builtin crawler to do specialized link search to download all kinds of links/files from almost any site. It's highy customizable and allows you save your configurations so that you can reuse them.

Queue multiple link search jobs (Batch link search)

While WFDownloader App can take a page link and search it to get all wanted links and download them, sometimes you may need to do that multiple times. For example, you have multiple artist profiles you want to download. Just queue them up as a batch for download! Warning, some sites don't like this and will block you if you don't set adequate delays.

Powerful filter system

WFDownloader App has a powerful filter system to enable you get just the exact links you want. For example, which pages on a website to check and what sort of links to collect from those pages.

Update a batch in just a click!

For supported sites, WFDownloader App allows you to update a batch since the last time it was run. For example, you've downloaded all the media of a Twitter artist but that artist updates regularly leaving what you've downloaded now outdated. All you need to is click the "Update" button for that batch, and it will download all the recent uploads for that artist since that time now keeping your batch up-to-date!

Update or run all batches at once in just a click!

It quickly becomes a chore updating or running each batch one by one. If you have many batches you need to update or start, you can queue them up and start them in a single click! You can even specify the wait-time in-between running each batch so that you don't hammer and annoy the site. If you have organized your batches into categories, you can update or run just the batches under that category.

Backup online profiles in portable format

Apart from downloading only media, WFDownloader App can help you backup online profiles for sites like Twitter, Instagram, and Pinterest in a portable JSON format. It includes data such as title, text, links, date, etc. Note that you need to indicate from the site's config that the link search operation is for export. This is useful since the above sites will only let you backup your profile but not the profile of others.

The first truly programmable downloader!

This is an advanced feature that programmers will love. WFDownloader App allows you to program what kind of links you want to download via concise code whether images, videos, documents etc. For example, what do you think the code "fetch all images matching #cat#;" would do?

Extensible downloader

WFDownloader App suppports a lot of websites (e.g. Instagram) where you just copy and paste the link and search begins immediately, grabbing what you expect it to. For unsupported sites however, you'd have to manually select what you want which makes the process longer. Now, the app has a feature that allows you to attach any configuration/code to a website or URL pattern so that the next time, you won't have to do a manual search, but just copy and paste the link and the search will begin automatically as if it were already supported! This is possible with the forum, crawler, and programmable options. You can even export your extensions to share with your friends. They only need to drag and drop your exported file and they'll be able to download from the new sites thanks to you!

Highly configurable to handle websites with special requirements

Some websites have special requirements in order to connect and download successfully from them. For example, a website may require certian http headers to be present or may require longer timeout waits if the site is slow. Some of the advanced customizations include: crawl delay, download delay, increased connect timeouts, user-agent change, http header modification, request method edit e.g. GET or POST, number of retries, handling captchas, expired links, etc.

Export links found

Who says you must download the links found within the app? If you need to use the links for research or in other applications, you can easily export them to a file. Both text and html export modes supported.

Organized batch downloading

Downloading without organizing can become agonizing! That's why WFDownloader App allows you to group your batches into categories (and even sub-categories) so that your download-work is organized. It even allows you work on only a specific category or sub-category of your choice. For instance, you can update or run only the batches under a specific category or sub-category, e.g., updating all batches under Twitter category. Also, the batches and categories can be sorted by their names.

Yes you can use WFDownloader App on Windows, Mac or Linux without any issues. No Operating System (OS) discrimination!

WFDownloader App is absolutely free!

Yes the application is completely free to use and free of viruses. The software itself neither includes ads nor bundleware.
